Promoting your business to other member businesses
As a member of the MDBA you are welcome (and encouraged) to host a monthly meeting at your business premises or at an alternative location. You will have the opportunity to tell those present about your business activities, discuss topical issues and answer questions, etc.
Advertising within the Local Community
The Community Directory is produced by the MDBA annually each September, and is funded entirely by advertisements placed by our member businesses. Membership of the MDBA is a pre-requisite to advertising. This incredibly useful local guide is delivered FREE to around 1,800 households in the area. As well as an advertising section of local businesses listed by category, the directory also features a valuable community information reference section, a map, and the local residential telephone numbers.
The Information Board at the bus stop (outside the Mapua Hall) shows a map of the local area and at a cost of only $20 per annum, members are able to advertise around the perimeter of the board.
The Notice Board located inside the Mapua Village Mall enables members to display their brochures for the public to look at and take away. (A small annual charge applies).
The MDBA produces a Map of the local district, specifically for the benefit of visitors to the area. The map is in a tear-off pad form and available free from visitor locations. Advertising space is available on the map to members only.
The MDBA has a page within the Community Newsletter which profiles member businesses.
Email and Website Hosting
Members are able to utilise our domain name: www.mapua.biz as an email address alias. For example members can have yourbusinessname@mapua.biz redirected to their current email account.
Members can also utilise our domain to host their own website, or simply take advantage of our webpage business listing to provide a link to their own website.
